Lesson Plan

This course was built in alignment with OSHA 1910.38 and 1926.35 which state employers must designate and train employees to assist in a safe and orderly evacuation of other employees.

• A demonstration of how NOT to react in an emergency
• How to properly evacuate
• Emergency escape procedures
• Procedures to be followed by employees who remain to operate critical equipment before evacuating
• How to account for all employees after an evacuation has been completed
• Rescue and medical duties for employees who perform them
• How to report fires and other emergencies
• The purpose of the written emergency action plan
• A demonstration of proper evacuation procedures, communication, cooperation, and use of the emergency assembly area
